Hand Knotted Bereber Natural Rug by GAN Rugs

The Natural Bereber Rug is a soft element made by hand, knot by knot, with traditional techniques of Moroccan origin using 100% virgin New Zealand wool. Alternating patterns in close proximity make its surface look diffuse and imprecise. In addition, its color presents nuanced and attractive variations.

Created by the internal design team at GAN, Bereber is available in three sizes as well as in another version in grey tones.

Hand Knotted Bereber Natural Rug. Berber culture is the keeper of millennia of history of different ethnic groups that have populated the East, creating an artisanal language of its own, generation after generation. This pure new New Zealand wool rug is completely handmade in the Moroccan hand knotting technique, with its shaped patterns formed by combining areas with long silky hair with other knotless areas. Bereber Natural is a hand knotted rug full of sensitivity that closely guards Berber culture’s historical memory and the sensitivity of artisans from India with a true care throughout its whole weaving process. This color variation is due to Berber being made with tie-dyed threads, a method in which textiles are tied when being colored, applied in this case to individual wool threads. As a result of this unique process, the strands can have several colors and even color gradients. Created by the internal design team at GAN, Bereber is available in three sizes as well as in another version in grey tones.
