Designed by Santi Moix, the Flora Backyard rug is made of 100% virgin wool of Indian origin, a natural fiber with an intense ecru base color. The technique used to make this rug is called Hand Tufted and allows the design of curvilinear shapes, different pile heights and the application of different colors on the same rug. Backyard is a literal representation of one of Moix’s works and its name refers to the backyard, where the flora is wilder.

The Backyard rug belongs to the FLORA collection by Nanimarquina, a collection full of color that comes from the hand of the artist Santi Moix. The collection is inspired by works where the artist explores the parallelism between life and death with his biomorphic flowers. The use of its color goes beyond the merely decorative, it is the resource with which to enhance and attenuate certain details, paying special attention to the in-betweens; those intermediate processes in flowers, such as the moments before their birth, their explosion of color or their decline. In this technique, wool is manipulated with a gun-like tool with which the threads are injected onto a fabric previously tensioned on a frame. Finally, a fabric is applied as a lining giving it a quality finish, with high density and durability. These rugs will help you create cozy and comfortable environments.
