Bandas Single A Pink Rug by GAN Rugs
Bandas Single A Pink, one of ten designs that make up the Bandas collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for GAN Rugs. On its pale pink base, a seemingly random pattern is embroidered using white wool of two different thicknesses.
This embroidery is done by hand and with crochet needles. The piece is also accented with an orange border.

Each of the Bandas Single Rugs is reinforced with a removable flat piece of metal in its corners so that they do not move or curl up when attached to other runners. Each one includes the velcro strips needed to connect it to other models.
Bandas is handcrafted using two types of textiles and techniques: a fine fabric, made on a manual loom, serves both to cover the modules and poufs and as a base for the runners themselves, on which the details are hand-embroidered by artisans from India.
