Bandas Single D Black Rug by GAN Rugs
Bandas Single D Black runner, one of ten rug designs with an elongated format of the Bandas collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for GAN Rugs.
Over a black base, a seemingly random pattern is embroidered by hand and with crochet needles, using wool yarns of two different thicknesses in white and orange. The piece is finished off, with an orange trim.

Each of the Bandas Single Rugs is reinforced with a removable flat piece of metal in its corners so that they do not move or curl up when attached to other runners. Each one includes the velcro strips needed to connect it to other models.
Bandas is handcrafted using two types of textiles and techniques: a fine fabric, made on a manual loom, serves both to cover the modules and poufs and as a base for the runners themselves, on which the details are hand-embroidered by artisans from India.
