Bandas Single E grey rug, one of the ten elongated pieces from the Bandas collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for GAN Rugs.
Over its dark grey base, a seemingly random pattern is embroidered by hand and with crochet needles, using orange and pink wool. The piece is also highlighted with an orange trim.

Each of the Bandas Single Rugs is reinforced with a removable flat piece of metal in its corners so that they do not move or curl up when attached to other runners. Each one includes the velcro strips needed to connect it to other models.
Bandas is handcrafted using two types of textiles and techniques: a fine fabric, made on a manual loom, serves both to cover the modules and poufs and as a base for the runners themselves, on which the details are hand-embroidered by artisans from India.
