Flora Promenade Circular rug by Nanimarquina

The Promenade rug belongs to the FLORA collection by Nanimarquina, a collection full of color that comes from the hand of the artist Santi Moix. The collection is inspired by the works where the artist explores the parallelism between life and death with his biomorphic flowers. His use of color goes beyond the merely decorative, it is the resource with which to enhance and attenuate certain details, paying special attention to the in-betweens; those intermediate processes in flowers, such as the moments before their birth, their explosion of color or their decline. To design the rug, a meticulous search for balance in the flower scale has been carried out. It contains up to 38 different colors, an exhaustive craftsmanship. In this technique, wool is manipulated with a gun-like tool with which the threads are injected onto a fabric previously tensioned on a frame.
