This is the rectangular Hexa rug from our kilim collection, a piece available in a hexagonal or rectangular format. Its design shows, in all its complexity, the numerous geometric possibilities that a mosaic of hexagons encloses, with lines in all directions that generate different types of triangles, different sizes of diamonds and hexagons, and even rectangles and octagons.
Kilim is an artisan method of rug making in which the weft is tightly woven on a manual loom, using only threads and no knotting. The result is a light fabric with no pile, similar to that of upholstery. It is a technique that offers great flexibility, a feature that GAN explores thoroughly to create high-impact details.
